A few months ago, I designed a custom ceramic coffee mug for my daughter to sell at her bakery/boutique – Church Street Cookies – in Cedarville, Ohio. The mug included watercolor images of famous buildings and other items related to Cedarville. The mugs sold very well, so I started creating them for other towns (see other mug designs). My latest design is for New Ulm, Minnesota.
New Ulm, Minnesota Coffee Mug
The New Ulm coffee mug features several buildings, monuments, and statues including the Hermann Memorial, Glockenspiel Tower, and the old post office. Other images include the Popcorn Wagon, the New Ulm mural, a German beer stein, lederhosen, and more. Anyone from New Ulm or familiar with German heritage will recognize many of these.
This past weekend, the annual Oktoberfest event took place in New Ulm, and I sold these coffee mugs along with some original artwork, framed prints, magnets, and stickers. I shared a tent with my wife who sells awesome embroidered clothing for children. Many of the items in our booth featured artwork related to New Ulm and/or Oktoberfest.
If you are local to New Ulm and would like a mug, I still have a few left (as of this writing). Use the contact form or message me through my Etsy shop. Once they run out, or if you don’t live nearby, the mugs are also available in my Etsy shop. Free shipping!
If you would like me to design a mug for your town or business, you can find the details here.
