Definitions of Golf – Golf Card

  • by

Watercolor painting of a golf ball on the green of a golf course a few feet from the flag.I am developing a line of greeting cards that pertain to the game of golf. I call it “definitions of golf”. The way it works is I pick a golf-related term and create a humorous twist to the definition. Once I’m happy with my new definition, I paint a watercolor painting that fits the definition, and put them all together.

The first card in the series I designed defines a golf cart. Most everyone knows what a golf cart is, but you will have to read my post “Definitions of Golf – Golf Cart Card” to see my special definition.

The second card in the series (pictured here) pertains to the game of golf itself. I painted a picture of a golf ball sitting on a green with the flag still in the hole.

At the top of the card it reads, “golf – a sport where players use various clubs to hit a ball into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible.

At the bottom it says, “if we change the definition to fit your style of play…

Open the card and it says, “golf is a 4-hour scavenger hunt!

If you golf, it’s possible you can relate. If you golf like I do, you can definitely relate!

This card is available for purchase in my Etsy shop.

If you have an idea for a card that you would like me to add to the series, please leave it in the comments. I’d love to hear about it.

Thanks for reading!
